Cesar has been divorced for a few years now and has decided to take the plunge back into the dating pool. We share a camaraderie in regard to his method of choice for dating - online personals (for those of you that don't know, that's how Jeff and I found each other). He's had a profile ad on a dating website called "Fish in the Sea" as well as eHarmony, too. We've shared many stories about crazy people, weird emails and pictures people send, no-shows to planned dates, and of course, making sure you get the all-important escape call 45 minutes into a date in case you need to make up an excuse to leave. I'd like to take a quick moment here and thank everyone that helped me with my escape calls during my dating days.
He's been really disappointed in the responses he's been getting and was feeling a little down about it. He actually is looking for a serious committed relationship, and those weren't the type of people he was getting responses to his ad from. I had casually offered to take a nice profile picture for him to use on his ad and he jumped at the opportunity to have a "pro" take his picture for him to use online. I snapped a few quick pictures at lunch one day, and here is what turned out to be not only my favorite image, but Cesar's as well.
He told me the exciting news today - he put the photo up on his ad around 6:30 last night, and by 8pm he had 4 responses! Not only that, but the next day he got 5 more! It made me so happy to hear that my image is helping him move forward in the quest to what will hopefully be his future wife.
