Liz, Justin, Jazz, & Ray

Another photo session from the beautiful fall day at Copper Ridge! Liz decided to challenge me as a photographer - TWO HORSES, TWO PEOPLE - always makes for a good challenge. It's tough to get everyone's ears up and looking at the camera! Liz is very lucky to have not one, but two beautiful horses, Jazz & Ray. Not only are they gorgeous and well-behaved, but they are good buddies too, and get along really well. Liz was so good natured about handling both horses, and never got frustrated when they moved around - she just laughed and moved with them. A photographer can't ask for more than that!

I had so much fun playing with all of these shots - especially when Justin decided to hop on Jazz bareback! Justin is newer to the equine world and just learning; Jazz did a good job of taking care of him and staying quiet and calm. At the time of this photo session Justin & Liz were dating, and have since gotten married!! Congrats to the both of them and I wish them much health and happiness in the years to come.

Robyn & Cervino

Robyn & Cervino

I am so behind in blogging - earlier this fall, I had several sessions at a beautiful farm called Copper Ridge. Robyn & her young horse Cervino were so much fun to photograph. I have to admit, I'm a tad jealous of Robyn's relationship with Cervino - she has had him since a baby and has been involved every step of the way in his training and education. He is still growing and filling out, and is going to be really handsome under saddle.

I really enjoyed getting to watch Robyn handle Cervino - despite his youth, and the fact that we had a bright, sunny day, he was attentive to his mistress and obeyed her as she walked him around for photos. He even got a chance to kick up his heels & play a little during some liberty shots!

Here are a few of my favorites from the session:
